Despite what the weather forecasters told us, June 21st was a warm sunny day in New York — perfect for a celebration of Jewish food, music, books and more. On one crowded block of Sixth Avenue in the 40s, we noshed, danced and schmoozed all day long. Longtime Workmen’s Circle members mingled with new participants, families, and groups of friends from across the city and beyond, sharing a love of great food and a passion for social justice and a shared sense of Jewish identity.
If you weren’t able to join us, you can enjoy the day vicariously through our Facebook photo album. You can also join us in our fight to raise wages for working families through the Fight For $15, signing on to the campaign by emailing the message “Count Me In” to email@example.com today. And of course you can support our work with a gift in any amount, including as an “in honor of” or “in memory of” contribution, by clicking here.
