The Workmen’s Circle’s Trip to Yiddishland program, our 7 day, 6 night retreat features four levels of Yiddish classes, dance & klezmer instruction, theater & music workshops, concerts & entertainment, children’s program, and three delicious meals per day. This year’s program will take place from Monday, August 14-Sunday, August 20. All are welcome, from brand-new Yiddishists to fluent speakers.
Come explore our mameloshn on Sylvan Lake in nearby Dutchess County. Enjoy and learn with Yiddish water polo and bingo, nightly kave hoyz, and pool, lake, boating, tennis, and more.
Yiddishland 2017 will be led by master Yiddish teacher Kolya Borodulin with Shane Baker, Motl Didner, Miriam Hoffman, Chava Lapin, Eugene Orenstein, Zisl Slepovitch, Klezmer artists Deborah Strauss, Jeff Warschauer, and Aaron Alexander, and children’s program coordinator Eleonore Biezunski.
Rates range from $550-$1300, depending on room selections, and we’re pleased to offer university students a special $300 tuition with shared accommodations. All prices include meals, classes and rooms.
