Manhattan School Director

The Manhattan Workers Circle School Director plans and oversees the Sunday School program for children, ages 3-13. The program culminates in a group B’nei Mitsve, which is the focus of the 7th/8th grade year. Working collaboratively with a school parent board, and a team of about 6 teachers. The Director provides leadership to the school community of teachers, students, and parents, creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment that reflects the Workers Circle mission and values.

This is an on-site, in-person position on Sundays only, Sept-June. Weekday and summer hours are remote.

Senior Social Justice Organizer, New York City

The Senior Social Justice Organizer serves as an assistant to the Social Justice Director. The Senior Social Justice Organizer organizes activists nationwide. They have primary responsibility for growing the Democracy Circles program including public presentations, convener on-boarding and support, managing organizational partners, and resource development. They track organizing goals nationwide, and foster communication and collaboration among the organizers toward that end.

The Florida Social Justice Organizer will coordinate all Workers Circle social justice efforts in Florida and report to the Director of Social Justice. This exempt position has principal responsibility for outreach to Jewish organizations (senior centers, congregations) and individuals to build the base of Workers Circle-affiliated progressive Jewish voters who believe in advancing a multiracial, multicultural democracy and advocate for legislation, engage in education, and mobilize voters.
