David Ladon, Education Coordinator and Teacher
David Ladon (pronounced with a hard “A”) has been working as an educator and musician for over a decade, developing and implementing curriculum across a range of spaces and subject areas, including after school programming, private and group music classes, Jewish learning, social justice education, cooking, drama, STEM, and visual arts. From 2008-2013, he was a member of Boston Workmen’s Circle, teaching in the Sunday school and volunteering with adult programming. After moving to Chicago in 2013, David has worked as a teaching artist at Hyde Park Art Center, the Oak Park Education Foundation, Columbia College, Ravinia, and Oak Park School of Rock. In spring 2018, he completed his M.A. in Social and Cultural Foundations in Education at DePaul University. David lives in Avondale with his wife, Zean, and their cat, Angus. When not playing music or teaching, he loves working in the garden, cooking big meals, and exploring Chicago.
