Activist Spotlight: Daniel Block

Hi, my name is Daniel Block, and I am currently a Senior at Brandeis University, majoring in American and Environmental Studies with minors in Legal and Judaic Studies.

I was introduced to the Workers Circle by a friend at Brandeis who encouraged me to join the Workers Circle in North Carolina to get out the vote. It was such a meaningful experience to be in community with others who shared a commitment to social justice and civic engagement. Working alongside passionate individuals, I felt the power of collective action as we focused on ensuring every voice was heard and every vote counted.

Since going to North Carolina with the Workers Circle, I have attended on campus events including a screening of Uncle Moses and phone banking to get out the vote. I am excited to continue being involved with the Workers Circle, as it allows me to learn more about justice, secular Jewish culture, and building solidarity.

If you know someone looking to get involved with the Workers Circle’s College Network on their college campus, please feel free to reach out to Francesca Rubinson, Senior Social Justice Organizer at the Workers Circle, at frubinson@circle.org.
