The Workers Circle Convenes Democracy Leaders to Answer the Question “Where Do We Go From Here?”
One week after Election Day, the Workers Circle convened democracy leaders including award-winning author and journalist Ari Berman, Executive Vice President at People For the American Way and courts expert Marge Baker, and grassroots mobilization powerhouse and founder of the Center for Common Ground Andrea Miller.
Upon the re-election of Donald J. Trump to the Presidency and a likely MAGA majority to Congress, Ann Toback, CEO of the Workers Circle released the following statement:
This is not the first time in history that fascists have risen to power through democratic means. We have seen it,resisted it, and overcome it before. We know that when we stand together, we can forge a way forward for freedom, even in the darkest of times.

Upon the introduction of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act into the Senate today, Ann Toback, CEO of the Workers Circle released this statement:
The Workers Circle applauds the introduction of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act in the Senate and urges Congress to pass this bill without delay. I release this statement from Selma, Alabama, where we have gathered with civil rights, voting rights, and democracy organizations to remember civil rights leaders whose sacrifice gave birth to the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965 (VRA). Today the generations-long gains in voting access and representation from that law are being rolled back.
