April Actions for Democracy
April 5-9: Freedom
Last week we celebrated Passover, a time when the Jewish people retell and reflect on our journey of liberation. But for many within and outside our community, the struggle for freedom is not a relic of the distant past, but a battle fought every single day — especially for Black, Brown, Indigenous, Asian, disabled, young, immigrant, elderly, low-income, and LGBTQ people. Critical to this struggle is the right to vote and to have your vote count. The For the People Act would make it easier for all citizens to vote.
