Phonebank for Voting Rights

You’re invited to join the Workers Circle every Tuesday for voting rights phone banking.

In 2021, the Texas legislature introduced a slew of voter-suppression bills targeted at communities of color. While the Senate failed to protect voting rights and the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act has stalled, voters need help now! To fight back, the Workers Circle is partnering with the Center for Common Ground to call Black voters in Texas 65 and older, and encourage them to take advantage of voting by mail, which is still available as a no-excuse option for that age. In this phone bank, you will give voters relevant information and assist them with requesting a ballot by mail in time to vote in the March 1 primary. No experience necessary!
