Special for Juneteenth: Advocate for Racial Equity and Voting Rights

Join the Workers Circle and the Center for Common Ground for this month’s training on how to be an effective citizen advocate. No experience is necessary!

In the lead-up to Juneteenth: Advocate for Racial Equity and Voting Rights, a day commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Black/African Americans in the United States, it's crucial to remember that our nation's journey toward racial equality remains unfinished. One significant aspect of this ongoing struggle is the battle for voting rights — an essential component of democratic participation and social justice.

Join us to advocate for and learn more about the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and how you can engage your members of Congress on the bill.

Led by Andrea Miller co-founder of the Center for Common Ground, and Workers Circle Director of Social Justice, Noelle Damico, this once-a-month, hour-long training is divided into two parts.

Come for all or part of the program! All registrants will receive a video of the training, slides, an advocacy toolkit, and additional background information.
