Gender Fluidity in Jewish Literature

Do you want to explore gender identity and expression through a Jewish lens? Are you puzzled by pronouns? Join the Workers Circle for an intergenerational conversation led by Workers Circle College Organizers Noa Baron and Brit Zak about what Jewish literature has to say about gender fluidity. We’ll discuss two gender-bending Jewish works: a poem titled “A Prayer for Transformation,” written in 1322 by medieval thinker Qalonymos ben Qalonymos, and the well-loved play, Yentl, originally written in Yiddish.
