Democracy is not just a system of government — it’s the power of the people. It begins with us, our voices, and our votes. At a time when democracy is under threat, we're asking you - and countless folks across the country - to come together to defend it.
Tuesday, March 4 marks the President’s Address to Congress. Instead of tuning in, We the People of New York will gather virtually with special guests Attorney General Letitia James and Workers Circle CEO Ann Toback to come together in reflection, action, and solidarity.
We will gather virtually at 6:00 PM ET and encourage everyone to join activists across the country in placing a candle in your window at 8:30pm.
This event is co-sponsored by Common Cause New York, The League of Women Voters of New York, The Workers Circle, VOICE Buffalo, Chinese-American Planning Council, One Heart One Vision, Civics League for Disability Rights, and more.
