Pass THE for the People Act: National Call-In Day!

The first Senate vote on the For the People Act is expected to happen the week of June 21. There will be a national call-in day to Senators on June 22.

With bills to restrict voting rights in 48 state legislatures, this is our shot to pass a bill to defend the right to vote and to create national standards to make voting easier and more accessible, while ending partisan gerrymandering, and eliminating the dark money in politics.

We have a short window of time to make sure our Senators feel the pressure and hear us loud and clear: they must pass The For the People Act. They need to hear from their constituents over, and over, and over.

If you are a constituent in a target state: It is imperative that Senators who are on the fence hear from their constituents. The for the People Act is a bipartisan and transformative bill that 8 out of 10 Americans support. Inaction is not an option, and there is no excuse to not pass a bill that would make our democracy more representative and just. Target states are Arizona, West Virginia,

If you are a constituent in a state where your Senator is supportive: For Senators that are co-sponsors of the bill and already in support of it, it is still critical that they know how many of their constituents demand these foundational changes. We need them to become champions of the bill, influencing their colleagues and continuing to prioritize passing the For the People Act. 

If you are a constituent in a state where your Senator is opposed: Our Senators work for us. Calls from their constituents emphasizing what local, state, and federal priorities need attention are of the utmost importance. Every single Senator needs to feel the pressure of our demand.
