Join the Workers Circle and the Center for Common Ground for our monthly training on how to be an effective citizen advocate.
You’ll be equipped with knowledge about a key federal bill, a letter that you can customize and deliver to your legislators, and best practices for setting up, visiting, and following up with Members of Congress. No experience is necessary!
Poll workers are critical to helping maintain safe in-person voting for communities without reliable access to mail service, voters with disabilities, voters who need language assistance, or voters who simply want to cast their ballot in person as they always have. Poll workers help ensure early voting and facilitate nonpartisan assistance at the polls. Support the process of democracy! Sign up to be a poll worker.

Postcard, phonebank and text bank to combat racist voter suppression laws
We work in partnership with the Center for Common Ground, a people of color-led organization that fights voter suppression and empowers underserved communities to connect voters of color with the information they need to vote by mail and to vote early in person. Our calls, texts, and postcards to voters of color support grassroots efforts by the NAACP, Black Voters Matter, and Mi Familia Vota.

Have you ever wanted to make a virtual visit with your lawmakers? Now is your chance! The Workers Circle will be organizing a series of legislative visits to Senate offices in the Fall of 2023 on the Freedom to Vote Act. Although you do not need to be an expert on the legislation, you will be thoroughly briefed prior to the visit. There will also be a planning session prior to the meeting where you will be walked through how the meeting will go. Sign up here!
Write letters to the Editor.
Lawmakers pay close attention to their local newspapers as do your neighbors. Writing a letter to the editor is a great way to educate the public and to insist on a democracy that works for all. Check out our state voting rights toolkit which has a sample letter, information on why federal voting rights legislation is needed, as well as links to learn about your state’s voting rights laws and pending legislation.
Sign and share our Gen Z for Democracy petition
If you’re 30 or under, sign and share our Gen Z for Democracy petition calling on Congress to pass federal voting rights and democracy reform legislation. Share the petition on social media, and send it to your firends! Or, if you’re over 30, send it to the 30 and unders in your life and to invite them to sign.
