Course Goals: This course aims to give a more complete view of Yiddish grammar, particularly those in colloquial language and literature. We will work on questions like: How can Yiddish sentences begin ? Do all pronouns function in the sentence in the same way? Can an adverb qualify a whole sentence and not only a verb, an adjective or other adverb? Which place can the adverbial complement take? What is the proper function of particles like es and dos?
Course Tools: Written exercises to encourage discussion on the above questions.
