Course Goals: Build your basic reading, speaking, and writing skills and learn some fundamentals of grammar through the communicative approach. Learn how to greet one another and introduce yourself, discuss your typical day and week, count objects, and describe your surroundings.   

Course Tools: In Eynem, by Asya Vaisman Schulman, Jordan Brown, and Mikhl Yashinsky (available for purchase here), along with materials provided by the instructor.

Additional Info: Students should learn the alef-beys in advance. They can practice their reading using the comic section at the beginning of In Eynem and can use the free alef-beys learning materials available here. The first two class sessions will include some review of the Yiddish alphabet and pronunciation rules.
