Course Goals: We will read and discuss Nudelman’s (Warsaw, 1905–Brooklyn, 1967) comedic stories written in America and Israel and compare them to Sholem Aleichem’s classic humor. Nudelman contributed texts to Zhigan and Shumacher and other comedians and was published in the daily Yiddish press all over the world. His comedic stories tackle themes such as cantors, doctors, psychology, war and peace, etc.  Read a short biography of Nudelman in English here.
