Course Goals: To continue the study of the fundamentals of Yiddish: vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and particularly grammar.
Course Tools:Yiddish: An Introduction to the Language, Literature & Culture, Vol. II by Sheva Zucker (starting with Lesson 15A). Students must also purchase the Answer Key to Vol. II, which can be purchased from Sheva Zucker: sczucker@aol.com. The recordings are recommended but optional, also available from sczucker@aol.com.
Additional Info: This course will be taught almost entirely in Yiddish and is designed for those with approximately two years of Yiddish language study, and who have completed Chapters 12–14 of Yiddish: An Introduction to the Language, Literature & Culture, Vol. II by Sheva Zucker or the equivalent. You need not have taken the fall course to join in the spring.
